Aluminum alloys are an excellent choice for clients looking to make durable parts on a budget. Aluminum is available in several alloys ranging from the 1000 to 7000 series, all with varying levels of excellent strength-to-weight ratio and high durability.

It is versatile and used for production in CNC machining, aluminum extrusion, and sheet metal fabrication processes. 6061 is the most popular grade aluminum material for CNC machining. Aluminum 6063 is good to be extruded, and aluminum 5052 is excellent for sheet metal forming. Aluminum has widespread uses due to its low bulk cost, natural corrosion resistance, high tensile strengths, good thermal and electrical conductivity, and relatively easier machinability.

Depending on your choices, aluminum can be finished in an array of ways, including anodization, which increases its corrosion resistance, and strength across the surface area of your part.
